Revo was born on June 16 and grew up presumably in Osaka, Japan.
While Revo's real name and birth year haven't been revealed to the public, there are some assumptions, although Revo had mentioned before that he identify as Revo, and asked laurants to do the same.
The name "Revo" comes from the word "Revolution" and his trademark are the sunglasses, which he has been wearing ever since the release of Pico Magic.

History:
In 1998, he started releasing music online on his web site, Sound Horizon. He mainly released arrangements of game (e.g., Square Enix's games) and anime music as a part of his hobbies. At the time, the handle name he used was G.Revo.
On December 30 of 2001 he published on the 61th edition of Comiket the 1st Story CD (plus) Chronicle with his friend yokoyan.

In 2004, Sound Horizon made its major debut through Bellwood Records, releasing Elysion ~Rakuen e no Zensoukyoku~, but just a few years later they changed labels to TEAM ENTERTAINMENT and then KING RECORDS.

In 2012, he started a new project, Linked Horizon. It was announced that its first project would be providing music for the 3DS game Bravely Default. A year later, Linked Horizon also provided the opening theme songs for the anime Attack on Titan and got invited to the annual Kouhaku Uta Gassen, where he performed a special arrangement of the first theme song Guren no Yumiya. It was the first time Revo performed on television, though he had appeared on different programmes before.

Since 2013 until today he works under Pony Canyon label.

Notes:
Revo used to have a blog where he used to post about news, future releases, or April fools jokes, but it doesn't work anymore.
